About MOPPETS

What is MOPPETS?
MOPPETS is our childcare program that takes place during our meetings so that you can enjoy your MOPS experience while your children are placed into the loving and dedicated hands of our paid MOPPETS staff.

Your child will experience a preschool like setting with age appropriate activities to foster their development in a fun and engaging way. Our childcare workers have been background checked to ensure your children's safety.

Newborns to kindergartners can be enrolled in the MOPPETS program.  The membership dues cover the cost of childcare for the entire year.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What do I need to bring with my child?
A: Please pack a sippy cup/drink for your child, extra diapers and wipes (if necessary) and a change of clothes. Make sure to thoroughly and clearly mark your items.

Q: Can I bring my newborn into the MOPS meeting with me?
A: Of course! We welcome all little ones who still need to be close to mom. We just ask that you respect the other moms and should your child become a distraction that you handle that appropriately.

Q: Is the MOPPETS program located near where the main MOPS meetings take place?
A: Yes, the younger children are literally across/down the hall and the older children are a little further, but still nearby.

Q: How soon can I drop my child off for MOPPETS?
A: Children can be taken to their classrooms beginning at 8:45 and need to be picked up promptly by 11:30.

Q: Who decides which room my child is placed in?
A: Our MOPPETS coordinators carefully place your child into the age group that is the most appropriate for their developmental and educational level. Our rooms are divided into classrooms just like a preschool.

Q: Do the children receive snacks during MOPPETS?
A: All children, except those in the infant room, will be given a snack (graham cracker sticks, goldfish, cheerios, animal crackers, etc) during the morning.  We ask that you please provide a filled sippy cup or bottle for children under age 2.  Empty sippy cups will be refilled with water.  All children 2 and  older will be given small Dixie cup with water along with their snack.  If your child has a food allergy, we ask that you please speak to our coordinators or moppet team leaders.  Please remember to label all items.

Q: What types of activities will my child experience?
A: Arts and crafts, indoor playtime, movie time, snack time and even rest time (for the little ones).
