Whole Foods Play Date

We ended our Spring Break by painting bird houses at Whole Foods.

Indian Creek VBS 2012

Are your kids ready to ROCK? Register them for the ultimate concert experience worshipping and singing with the Go Fish Guys! They'll get backstage passes and go Backstage with the Bible at VBS July 17-20.

Take advantage of early bird registration by June 30 for $10 per child, $30 family max. On July 1, registrations go up to $15 per child, $40 family max.

Here's what your child's week will look like as a Backstage Groupie:
  • Backstage Catering: Start the morning with a Groupie Breakfast to get your energy going.
  • Daily Concert: Rock the house as we sing and get to know the Talent.
  • Backstage Set Design: Create awesome crafts to keep and spread the Word.
  • Intermission: Play fun, exciting games.
  • Recording Studio: Learn the songs and moves for your own concert Friday night.
  • Daily Encore: Wrap each morning with great worship and the day's Bible story.
  • Groupie Concert: You're the star!
Concert finale on Friday, July 20
See your child in concert! Bring the entire family to see him or her take center stage and perform all the amazing songs they learned during the week! They'll learn how we all can be Fishers of Men and share the gospel through music and dance. We'll have an awesome cookout/pot luck at 6:30 p.m. and then head up to the Concert Venue (Activity Center). You don't want to miss this!

Spring Fest 2012

Bring your entire family and grab some friends to celebrate spring on Sunday, April 1. This family focused day features an amazing children's program for your kids, and an energetic message for the adults based on the popular movie, Courageous. Stick around afterwards for an afternoon of games, food and fun for all.

VeggieTales Live is coming to Indian Creek
 on Wednesday April 4th, 2012 at 6:30 pm

Bob, Larry and your favorite Veggie friends are singing and dancing their way to Indian Creek in the all-new God Made You Special LIVE tour! Kids of all ages will love this show filled with silly song favorites like "Love My Lips," "The Hairbrush Song," "His Cheeseburger," and many, many more! Join the God Made You Special LIVE tour for an unforgettable time of fun and silliness from the VeggieTales crew!

In partnership with the Olathe Pointe Chick-fil-a, all ticket holders receive a special meal coupon for discounted children's meals & adult entrees. Chick-fil-A will be on-site serving food for the event (beverage concessions provided by Indian Creek) serving meals before and during the event.

MOPS Meeting Tuedsay March 6th!

Don't miss out on our next meeting on
Tuesday March 6th, 2012 9:00-11:00

Our guest speaker will be a gynecologist answering questions submitted by our own moms at the February meeting.

We will be kicking off the Food Pantry Drive.  Please bring your non-perishable food items and paper products.  There will be a place to drop your items on the way in the front door.

Garage sale donations can be dropped off after the meeting.  Just leave them in your car and we will meet you after to help you unload items.

Brunch and Set-up:  Pictionary Purple

We are collecting:
Grocery sacks (plastic or paper) for the garage sale
Wire hangers (ask for them at your dry cleaners) for the garage sale
Empty toilet paper rolls for a MOPPETS craft

This fun FREE event is for kids ages 3-12.  Each child will make a craft and get a snack.  Please RSVP by March 7th to ensure seating is reserved for the group.  Meet at The Cooking Studio, right next door to Whole Foods.

The Olathe School District does not have school on this day so bring your older children too!

Spring Service Project

Our Spring Service Project this year will be a Food Pantry drive!

We will be collecting non-perishable items for the food pantry from now until April 3rd.

The food pantry will accept all non-perishable food items, toiletries, paper products, cleaning products, and personal items.

Items most needed include:

Pasta
Rice
Beans (dry or canned)
Canned vegetables
Tuna
Tuna Helper/Hamburger Helper

The food pantry also accepts any items that are partially used (lotions, laundry soap, shampoo) as long as they have not touched the skin.

The food pantry is open to anyone in need.
There will be a box labeled MOPS by the entrance at each meeting for you to drop your items in as you walk in.

"Each of you should use whatever gift you have recieved to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms."  1 Peter 4:10

Any donated items are greatly appreciated!
