January Parent's Night Out

Our first year of PNO has proved to be a lot of fun!  Not only does it give our moms time away by themselves or with a loved one, but it gives the MOPS workers a chance to get to know each other better!

Here are some photos of our January 21st Parents Night Out Co-Op:

Crafty F.S. shows what the nights craft is for the kiddos.  The kids put their handprint on the heart and a poem to go with.
Good job, F!

The sponge tickled their little hands!

Next PNO is scheduled for February 18th!

Wine Tasting

January MOPS Night Out was a success!

A total of 10 moms enjoyed each others company, while tasting new white wine's and red wine's....and a surprise dessert sherry!

MOPS is all about taking care of and supporting each other so we made sure to have 2 designated drivers who sipped on tea all night!  :)

Thanks, ladies, for making the wine tasting night out a ton of fun and laughs!

New Children's Community Groups

At Indian Creek there are many wonderful community groups (like MOPS) for adults to attend and grow in there relationship with Christ.  Starting in February there will now be community groups for children of all ages!  The only requirement is that one or more parents is involved in a community group at Indian Creek.  If you are currently enrolled in MOPS your children are eligible to attend Wednesday night classes and learn about the Bible this semester.  You do not have to attend a group at church on Wednesday night, you can drop your kids off and go to dinner or run errands.  I hope some of you take advantage of the opportunity for your kid's to hear God's Word while you have some time to yourself or maybe there is another community group you would like to attend.  I have included the information for the new children's community groups below, but please go to the Indian Creek website here to register your kids for groups or to check out what else the church has to offer for the Spring semester.  There are also classes for middle school, high school, and college students.

Spa Day Part 9 (Nails)

At Christmas Brunches of past years everyone brought food and we decorated our tables for Christmas.  This year we decided to try something new and different.  Since moms generally handle most of the holiday stress in a household (shopping, wrapping, baking, decorating.....) we decided that the moms needed a well-deserved day of relaxation.  So, we came up with a Spa Day complete with catered food, a homemade sugar scrub, Mary Kay facials, and for comic relief, a photo booth and ugly sweater contest.

We had such a fun time and we have so many pictures to share that we thought it would be fun to post in several parts.

Part 9 - Nails
Lots of polish colors to choose from

Sisters T.L. and N.D. do each others toe nails while H.B. and L.C. work on their fingernails.

R.V., L.C., A.B, and J.H. work on their fingernails while H.B. feeds Baby D.

A.S. works on her nails while A.T. and K.H. chat a while

P.B., S.I., A.D., L.L., J.P. and M.T. enjoy a bit of pamper me time

Thank you again for joining us on Spa Day!

We are looking forward to kicking off our 2nd semester in MOPS!

See you January 17th!
